Space Day

Today the Junior Team has had an awesome Space Day. We have been learning about what it takes to be an astronaut. We have also been learning about different planets. This is what Team One had to say:

We Know about Mars- Mars is Hot (Zion) It has craters like the moon. (Lily) Mars is red (Robson)

Saturn has many rings around it. (Poppie) The rings are made of rock, ice and dust (Ed)

There are volcanoes on mars. (Harrison)

The moon has craters on it (Gabby)

We have been learning about what food we can take to the moon. We can only take dry food and noodle that are wet. (Matthew)

Saturn is cold and windy (Maddy)

Mercury is hot (Molly)

week 3

Week 3

We had a celebration shared lunch on Friday and the children in Team One loved it. The children enjoyed making the Chinese door hangers. They especially loved flying their kites that they had made. Lunch was enjoyed by the children and the parents. Thanks to all the parents who brought a plate along.

Week 4

This week we have started our new Inquiry. We are learning about the Sun, the Moon and the Earth. Today we talked about why we have shadows. Have a look at us tracing around our shadows. In the next few days we will tell you all what we now know about the sun.

Reflection Week Two

I enjoyed doing the cross country running with Mr Norton today.- Robson

On Friday, at Smart time i liked doing the wood work.- Malek

I like running to each cone on the field.- Gabby

I enjoyed the two books that Mr Norton shared with us. -Ed

I like doing the butterfly run. In the middle you can sprint. Sometimes you can jog or walk.-Eve

Harrison enjoyed reading time today. I got to learn a new book.- Harrison
